RAWALPINDI - Punjab Emergency Service, Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi will provide emergency cover to Long March on Jan 14 with eight fully equipped ambulances, 12 fire trucks, three rescue and recovery vehicles and two water bowzers.
Leaves of the rescuers in this regard have been canceled and they have been assigned special emergency duties. Furthermore key points at Gujjar Khan, Koral Chowk and Faizabad have also been established to provide swift emergency cover to the people in case of any emergency. District Emergency Officer, Dr. Abdur Rahman, Rescue 1122, Rawalpindi said the rescuers will be on duty to provide swift response but the citizens are requested to dial 1122 for timely response from Emergency Service and give way to emergency vehicles for providing an effective emergency medical cover in case of any untoward incident.
