LAHORE - Golden Star Cricket Club (CC) has outclassed Lahore Gymkhana CC by eight wickets in the match played here at Bagh-e-Jinnah cricket ground. Golden Star wicketkeeper Azamul Haq’s brilliant ton was the highlight of the match. Batting first, Lahore Gymkhana scored 192-8 in 35 overs. Hashim Islam scored 58 runs, Rizwan Ahmad 45 and Ali Malik 39. Abdulha clinched 3-7 while Saeedul Hassan took 2-26 and Shahbaz Ali 2-37. In reply, Golden Star achieved the target for the loss of just two wickets in 31 overs. Azamul hammered unbeaten 103 runs with the help of three sixes and 11 fours. Jawad Maqsood added 37 runs, M Ameer 25 and Faheem Arshad 12 runs. Ameen Khan was the only Lahore Gymkhana bowler who got one wicket four 21 runs.
