I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to the lack of operational streetlights in many areas of the city. This is turning out to be a major problem for citizens as there is a significant rise in street crimes where streetlights are not working. Some of the installed street lights on Main Abulhasan Ispahani Road (from Safari Park to Maskan Chorangi) are not illuminated and seem defunct since last couple of weeks. Hence all kind of criminals find it a convenient location to rob people. I am quite positive that people are not even bothered to register their complaints after being mugged as there is a severe distrust in our police. I had registered a complaint at the KMC website Dec 29, but no action has yet been taken to resolve the issue. I hope and pray that the authorities will look into the matter as dysfunctional streetlights in the city are putting people’s lives at risk.
