A farmer’s daughter, who had gone missing two days ago, was found raped and thrown in the fields of village Maallo Mahay, Daska in critical condition.

Some criminals had kidnapped the 8-year-old from outside of her house while she was playing there in village Glotiyaan-Daska.

In village Maallo Mahay, some local people found the ill-fated girl crying in the fields and shivering in cold weather in critical condition.

The local people told the police that the accused criminally molested the girl and threw her there. The victim was shifted to Daska Civil Hospital in critical condition. The hospital doctors confirmed that she was forcibly raped. The doctors termed her condition very critical.

The Daska Saddar police have registered a case against three accused for raping her after kidnapping her. Police have registered the case on the report of victim’s brother Jamshaid against three accused including Sarwar and Shehzad. Daska police claimed to have arrested two of the accused.

Meanwhile, the raped minor girl was shifted to General Hospital Lahore from Daska Civil Hospital due to her very critical condition , as the doctors said that the rape victim was fighting for her life.

Likewise in Hafizabad, a young married woman was forcibly raped by a fiendish young man. The police have registered a case against Arif son of Muhammad Sharif of Borianwala village.

According to police source, the accused had promised to provide employment to the cousin of Robina Bibi who is wife of Mursaleen. He called Robina to provide him the relevant documents of her cousin near Kssoke Bypass. When Robina reached the spot, the accused took her to a house in Mohallah Hassan Town, where he sexually assaulted her.

108 HOSPITALS SEALED IN 2015: Health Department teams sealed 108 private hospitals and clinics over violation of Drugs Control Act, and got registered 11 cases against quacks in urban and rural parts of Sialkot district during last year.

Special inspection teams inspected 2,716 hospitals, clinics, medical laboratories , medical stores and pharmaceutical manufacturing units located in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils during the year 2015, the district administration said.

These teams sent 676 samples of different drugs to Drugs Testing Laboratory Lahore, besides, sending 14 such cases to Punjab Quality Control Board and 273 cases to District Quality Board Sialkot for further action, a health officer detailed.

During the meeting, EDO (Health) Dr Javaid Warraich added that 128 challans of the private clinics, hospitals and medical stores were sent to the Drugs Court Lahore for trial during 2015. Out of which, the Drugs Court had fined Rs0.9 million in 33 different cases, in this regard.

He narrated that stern legal action was taken against 205 owners of the private clinics and hospitals for selling expired and prohibited medicines in Sialkot district during 2015.

Addressing the meeting, DCO Dr Asif Tufail directed the senior officials of Health Department to take stern legal action against all those found violating the Drugs Control Act without any indiscrimination. He said that quacks had been playing with the precious lives of the people.

He said that the people involved in the nasty practice of selling drugs and adulterated, expired and prohibited medicines were the enemy of the humanity. He directed the authorities concerned to bring all the quacks to task by jazzing up crackdown in Sialkot district.
