ISLAMABAD: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch , has said that the West was trying to destroy the family system in the Muslim societies and create chaos in the name of women rights and by promoting the concept of free society.

Addressing the Shoora of the Sind JI women wing at Karachi on Thursday, he said that serious efforts were needed to face this challenge. 

Liaqat Baloch said that Islam had given maximum rights to the women and was the real custodian of their dignity and honour.  He said that the women were an important part of the Muslim society, and the JI had give full representation to the women in every section including organization and planning.  He stressed upon the JI women workers and members to carry JI’s message to every nook and corner of the Sindh province.

Liaqat Baloch said the JI Shoora had decided that the ten women representatives in the Shoora would be duly elected by the women members.

Liaqat Baloch said that the performance of the JI women wing in all fields including Dawa and struggle for Islamic system was much better than that of the male wing. He said that works of Dawa, training and politics were in fact, one and the same.

Sindh chief of the JI, Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqi, in his address on the occasion, said that the JI was a movement for the supremacy of the word of God and the establishment of Islam’s collective system. However, he said, from the very beginning, the JI had believed in achieving its goal through lawful, peaceful and democratic process.
