LAHORE - Any option to dissolve Balochistan Assembly was not under consideration at PML-Q level, said its spokesperson Senator Kamil Ali Aga.

After Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo of PML-Q was elected as Balochistan chief minister yesterday, the party spokesperson turned down the rumours that Bizenjo, on PML-Q advice, will dissolve the assembly to disrupt the Senate election scheduled to be held in March.

PML-N is expected to elect its four senators from the assembly, which some analysts say will not acceptable to Chaudhrys of PML-Q and forces behind the no-confidence move against Sanaullah Zehri of PML-N who resigned as Balochistan CM before the voting on the move.

As Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) formed government in country’s biggest province, said Kamil Aga, it would opt to serve the people in remaining tenure rather to dissolve the legislature.

When asked if PPP in Sindh and PTI in KP chose the option to dissolve the respective assemblies then what would be decision of PML-Q, he said the party would then make decision according to the situation.

Meanwhile, PML-Q President Ch Shujaat Hussain congratulated Mir Bizenjo on assuming office of Balochistan chief minister. He also presided over a party meeting at his office in Lahore to formulate the future political strategy. According to the statement it was decided that a delegation of PML-Q headed by Ch Parvaiz Elahi would take part in the protest to be staged on January 17 on The Mall. Pakistan Awami Tehreek and opposition parties will hold protest to overthrow the PML-N government.

PML-Q meeting was attended by Ch Parvaiz Elahi, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Moonis Elahi, Ch Zaheeruddin, Basharat Raja and Hafiz Ammar Yasir.
