ICCI delegation visits Bhutto Cricket Ground to appreciate youngsters

ISLAMABAD - Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Senior Vice President M Naveed Malik, along with ICCI Sports Committee Chairman Nasir Mehmood Chaudry visited Bhutto Cricket Ground on Saturday.

Malik Naveed announced Rs 20,000 cash for East Zone U-19 team, who beat Gilgit-Baltistan in the Regional U-19 match and highly lauded the efforts of Bhutto Cricket Academy Chairman Chaudhry Ajmal Sabir for the promotion of cricket in general and sports in particular. Naveed said without Ajmal Sabir, it would have been almost impossible for East Zone to survive as it required a lot of finances and time to look after affairs. “I have been watching Ajmal Sabir for last two decades or so and he is doing wonders for the youngsters.” He said the main aim of arriving at Bhutto ground was to back the clubs, who are playing at this particular ground, announce cash reward for the youngsters and pay tribute to matchless efforts of Ajmal Sabir.

ICCI Sports Committee Chairman Ch Nasir announced kit bag for the brilliant youngster Ali Imran, who played outstandingly throughout in his short career and played well for PTV in the National One Day Cup. He also announced cash awards for all the budding cricketers and promised to lend helping hand to East Zone and Ajmal Sabir in future too.

Ajmal Sabir thanked ICCI, Naveed Malik and Nasir Ch and said it gave him me lot of heart that the ICCI is recognising their efforts. He said it was team work and each and every member of his team was helping in one or another way for the uplift of East Zone.
