Killer-father of 2 kids surrenders to police

KARACHI - A man, who had slaughtered his two minor daughters, surrendered to the police here on Monday. Accused Mohammad Shezad, a resident of Lane 36/B, Landhi, slaughtered his two daughters, including 2-year-old Khushi Fatima, and 9-month-old Summan Fatima, reached the police station and confessed to his crime. As per report, the culprit suspected that his wife had illicit relations with a man and he killed both of his daughters in revenge. I brought my both daughters from the house of in-laws on Sunday and killed. My wife Hadiya had illicit relations with one Arif and I wanted to teach her a lesson for this disloyalty, Shehzad confessed to the police. The accused further said that feared that both of his daughters would follow the footsteps of their mother in future therefore I decided to send them to the paradise before they commit such a sin. Naeem, brother of accused Shezad, told newsmen that the culprit had married Hadiya despite strong opposition of his parents who had suspicion about her character. On the other side, Hadiyas father, Saleem, in his statement declined all such allegations and said that whole family of the culprit was involved in killing both the children. The police have recovered bodies of both girls along with the knife used in their slaughter. A case has also been registered against the accused. 2 killed separately Two persons were killed in separate incidents in different areas of the metropolis on Monday. Unidentified assailants shot at Mujahid Aslam and injured him seriously a man near Sohrab Goth within the jurisdiction of Sachal Police Station. He was shifted to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. In another incident, a speedy train crushed 40-year-old Tahir, son of Nazir, to death when he was crossing the railway track at Baloch Colony in the limits of Drig Road Police Station. Deceased was a resident of Azam Town.
