KARACHI - Tanvir Ashiq of Lahore won his first round match in men's singles in the 3rd edition of Techron Pakistan Open Tennis Championships which began here the other day at the hard Courts of Creek Club Karachi. Seeded Tanvir defeated Sikandar Hayat 6-2,6-0. Ali Akber Khaleel, Area logistic Manager Chevron Pakistan Ltd inaugurated the competition which carries 0.2.5 million in prize money. The winner of the men's singles will get Rs.0.1 million which is the biggest ever prize purse even given in Pakistan. The championship has attracted more than 350 entries in six events. Results.
