Zardari, Nawaz to meet soon

ISLAMABAD - President Asif Ali Zardari had once again established a telephonic contact with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif and discussed with him the overall political situation of the country with special focus on the reconciliation process between the two major political forces in the country. The sources in the Aiwan-e-Sadr disclosed that it was the third contact between the two leaders in the past couple of months and both the leaders agreed to follow the path of reconciliation and rectification of the misdeeds of the dictatorial regime. The Presidential Spokesman Farhatullah Babar informed that President Zardari thanked Mian Nawaz Sharifs party support to the government on the issue of the Internally Displaced Persons(IDPs)and hoped that PML-N would continue extending support to the government in all the positive moves. Both the leaders agreed to meet in the near future and according to sources Mian Nawaz Sharif had once again extended invitation to President Zardari to visit his Raiwind residence which the latter accepted and in next couple of weeks the meeting between the two would be worked out by their emissaries. The sources further disclosed that earlier President Asif Ali Zardari was to visit Raiwind on June 10 and all arrangements for the reception in his honour were complete when all of a sudden he put off his visit owing to some pressing engagement in Federal Capital. To erase the distaste of this abrupt cancellation of the visit to Raiwind by President Zardari a couple of attempts were made but the meeting between the two could not be materialized on one pretext or the other. Now once again President Zardari has carved out an opportunity to talk to Mian Nawaz Sharif and the contact between the two was established on his initiative. Nawaz Sharif has also shown political sagacity by once again.
