LAHORE - Senator Sardar Zulfquar Ali Khan Khosa has said that General Musharraf was a sworn enemy of Sharif brothers and all the cases registered against them and their family during his tenure are bogus. In a statement on Friday, he said neither Sharif brothers were earlier afraid of such things nor they would be so in future.
Commenting upon the news of opening of cases by NAB against Sharif brothers and their family, Khosa said Musharraf ruled the country for nine and a half years but nothing was proved against Sharif brothers and their family during this period.
Now if NAB reopens the cases against them, the courts are free and independent and decision will be made according to the law and constitution in this regard, he added.
He said timing is of very importance in this whole matter and mala-fide intensions of PPP are being exposed. He said if all this being done to put pressure on Sharif brothers, it should be remembered that neither the leadership of Muslim League-N can be cowed down nor purchased. If the popular Muslim League-N leadership is being tried to be deceived then how can we trust those who promised implementation of Charter of Democracy, Khosa concluded.
