Governor Punjab, Sardar Latif Khan Khosa on Saturday said that the decision to write letter to the Swiss Authorities will be made after consultation with the coalition partners.
Addressing PPP office bearers, workers, and talking to media in Circuit House, Multan, the Governor said that the PPP government would convene a meeting of the cabinet members of the coalition partners in the government in which decision would be made on writing letter or not.
The cabinet will decide whether to write letter or not, and later under the direction and decision of the Cabinet, the government would put forward its stance on the issue in Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Khosa maintained that the people and the constitution of Pakistan gives protection and immunity to all the Presidents of the country including President Asif Ali Zardari. “We do not intend to present our President in front of third class magistrate in abroad, moreover, it would disgrace the country”, he added.
He said that PPP government wants to establish new Seriaki province for the people of South Punjab and in this regard, President Zardari directed the Speaker National Assembly Fehmida Mirza to constitute a 14-member committee, adding now it’s the responsibility of the Speaker NA and Chairman Senate.
While criticizing on the judges of the apex court of Pakistan, he said that the SC judges have dual standard, as on the one hand the age of the public servant is 60 years while SC’s judge is 65 years, adding they are also not replying to the Public Accounts Committee regarding their financial matters.
The Governor said that the Sharif Brothers do not have democratic attitude and they need to improve their political skills.
“We awarded Punjab government to Sharif Brothers in alms”, Khosa said.
