Addressing a news conference here at Peshawar Press Club, JI, Khyber Agency chapter, Ameer Shah Faisal Afridi said that resumption of the halted Nato supply to the US-led allied forces stationed in Afghanistan was tantamount to treason with the martyrdom of patriotic soldiers of the country who were targeted at Salala post in Mohmand Agency. He added that JI would resist the restoration at any cost, because the US forces were the killers of thousands of innocent tribal people.
Flanked by Ikhtiar Bacha Afridi, Abid Khan and other party activists hailing from tehsil Bara, Khyber Agency, he said due to the growing influence of the US in the country’s affairs, the situation is going from bad to worse. He maintained that restoration of Nato supply would further be complicated in the present situation.
Afridi further said that the law and order situation would get worse across the country after the resumption of Nato supply routes. Despite the resolutions of the parliament, the US spy drone were being carried out continuous drone attacks inside tribal region, he lamented and warned to follow the recommendations of the parliament and ensure immediate stoppage to it.
The JI ameer said that innocent civilians, including women, children, and aged were killed in the drone strikes in tribal areas. He also said that the US drone air strikes were reduced during the blockage of Nato supply routes. He also informed that JI central chief Syed Munawar Hassan, senior naib Ameer, Sirajul Haq, and party leader from across the country would address the protest rally and sit-in.
Meanwhile, activists of Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) have called for withdrawal decision of reopening Nato supplies and halt to the US drone attacks, and warned of strongly resisting if the government failed to withdraw the decision.
On the call of party chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman, JUI-F activists led by Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, former provincial ministers Asif Iqbal Daudzai, Malauna Amanullah Haqqani and district Peshawar Ameer Maulana Rafeeq Shah staged a protest demonstration here outside press club on Friday.
The protester were carrying a banner inscribed with slogans against NATO supply as ‘reopening of Nato supply is open insult of the resolution of the parliament’, they were also raising their full-throat anti-government slogans.  JUI Senator on the occasion said that the entire nation was opposing NATO supply route to US-led troops in Afghanistan through Pakistan and drone attacks but the government restored it beyond the aspirations of the masses of the country.
He said government should have withdrawn the decision, otherwise the JUI-F activists would be compelled to resist and stop it by forces.
