PTI slams govt over supplies restoration

PESHAWAR – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), provincial leaders have termed the resumption of Nato supplies negation of the parliamentary resolution, saying that it was against the masses aspirations.
Addressing a press conference at press club here, PTI provincial leader Asad Qaiser said the government has failed to follow the aspirations of the masses while restoring Nato supplies unconditionally. He added that the move was totally against the unanimous decision of the parliament.
Accompanied by PTI activists Nawaz Khan, Saleem Khan, Taj Khan, Engr Hamid and others, he maintained that US drone strikes were still being carried out in tribal areas. He criticised the PPP-led government over the decision. “We have lost a great opportunity to sever the alliance with western states in ongoing war against terrorism,” he lamented. He added that the country had faced huge financial and precious lives losses in the so-called war against terrorism.
Qaiser said that drone attacks were against the sovereignty and integrity of the country, so they must be halted. About the US foreign secretary’s telephonic excuse on Salala attack, he said the US government should officially apologise to Pakistani nation instead of verbally saying ‘Sorry’.
PTI central leadership, he said has decided to strongly resist the government decision of reopening routes to Nato supply, for the purpose, he informed that they were going to hold a huge protest rally in provincial metropolis city on today (Saturday), which would led by party chairman Imran Khan. He added that they had expected to more than 50,000 people participation in the rally.
Qaiser said that PTI would ensure sovereignty and independence by framing policies in national interest of the country if come to power, adding that the present rulers failed to deliver at all fronts. He maintained that the price hike, unemployment and energy crisis and worsening law and order situation were gifts of the incumbent government.
PTI was gaining strength in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas, he claimed and added it would be the only political force to steer the country out of the prevailing messy situation.
Meanwhile, activists of JUI-F staged a protest demonstration against excessive electricity loadshedding in Malakand and restoration of Nato supplies.
The protestors led by the JUI-F, district ameer, former senator Sahibzada Khalid Jan. A large number of JUI-F workers and locals participated in the protest demonstration held here at Sakhakot, the native town of Sahibzada Khalid Jan. The protesters, holding the banners and placards with anti-US and anti-government slogans, marched across Sakhakot Bazaar of Malakand and latter on gathered in main Squire Sakhakot, where JUI-F local leaders Sahibzada Khalid Jan, Mulana Hamidullah Roghani, Mulana Javed Khan, Mufti Kefayatullah, Mulana Shmsul-Haq, Mulana Habibul-Husain and others.
 delivered the spaces and criticised the present government over the restoration of Nato supply and heavy loadshedding in Malakand.
