WAH CANTT - Parents of a 6 year-old child, who is suffering from lung cancer, have appealed to the government and philanthropists to extend their support for her medical treatment and save her life as they cannot afford her expensive treatment.

Shehla, the mother of five who works as a housemaid while talking to newsmen at the Press Club here said that her daughter Mubashra had been tested positive for deadly disease of lung cancer.

The poor woman said that after selling her household items, they could manage to get some pathology tests of her tissues at Nuclear Medicine, Oncology and Radiotherapy institute (Nori) Islamabad and Shifa International, which had confirmed that this little child was suffering from lung cancer.

She said that her husband is a daily wager with a maximum earning of Rs 400-500 per day and she works as a housemaid at houses to meet both ends.

“I cannot see my daughter going in to the clutches of death day by day,” she said while tears rolling down from her cheeks.

“I appeal to Chief Minister Punjab, Chairman Pakistan Bait ul Maal, Chairman Behria Town Malik Riaz and other well-off people as well as philanthropists to come forward and help me for early treatment of my daughter”, she explained.
