LAHORE- Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought objection in writing from the federal government over maintainability of the petition filed against purchase of expensive vehicles and sniffer dogs for Prime Minister House. Justice Khalid Mehmood Khan of LHC took up the case for hearing today.
The petitioner told the court that the purchase of sniffer dogs and luxury vehicles worth millions of rupees was a waste of money prohibited by the Shariah. He prayed to the court to nullify purchases of vehicles and sniffer dogs.
The court maintained that it was the right of any citizen to obtain information regarding the expenses incurred on PM house.
The court therefore directed the federal government to file its objections in writing on the maintainability of this petition. The hearing of the case was adjourned for two weeks.
