Ayyan’s indictment deferred till 27th

RAWALPINDI - A customs, anti-smuggling and taxation court could not indict famous model, actress and singer Ayyan Ali in money smuggling case on Monday because the judge was on leave.

The accused was produced before a duty judge who set the date of July 27 for framing charges against Ayyan. The model was held in connection with money smuggling at Benazir Bhutto Islamabad International Airport in March last.
According to details, the investigators of Pakistan Customs produced Ayyan in the court of Customs, Anti-Smuggling and Taxation Special Judge Rana Aftab Ahmed Khan, who was supposed to hold hearing for framing charges against the accused. However, no development could take place as the judge went on 15 days official leave. Meanwhile, the court also postponed hearing till July 27 in the application filed by Pakistan Customs for registration of a fresh case against Ayyan under sections of money laundering. Earlier, Ayyan was brought in the court from Adiala Jail in an armoured personnel vehicle amid tight security.

As the famous model came out of APV and was being escorted to courtroom by investigators, a small child namely Abdul Rehman called Ayyan Ali and presented her an Eid card which she accepted with thanks.
Ayyan is one of the famous models in Pakistan and whenever she appears in front of the court, a large number of her fans come to see her. Today as she appeared before the court, a young fan presented her an Eid card gift in a blue shopping bag.
