In the wake of Chaudhary Nisar’s personal efforts for his constituency, the Dhama Syedan Water Supply Scheme was initiated. Although the scheme faced certain discrepancies since its inception, positive changes took place when WASA took over its charge.

The WASA officials have been doing their jobs efficiently and devotedly. I have witnessed that they not only timely respond to any complaints reported to them but also keenly fulfil their duties despite physical illness. However, all their efforts go in vain because of the excessive load-shedding issue, ten hours (at times even more) load-shedding in the Dahgal-area, where water reservoirs of the water supply scheme exist has crippled the electric motors.

Due to a lack of electric motors functioning water supply is not possible. Therefore, despite paying regular bills the people of the area are suffering in summers and in the holy month of Ramzan at the hands of private water tanker owners. Left with no choice, they have to buy water for their household activities. It is humbly requested to Mr Nisar that, to get real results from the said scheme, the Dahgal area should be exempted from cruel and long load-shedding.

This operational change is required on an urgent basis, not only to ensure the availability of water to masses but also to utilise the billion rupees the Government invested in this scheme.
