Mastung incident: Bilawal suspends political activities

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday said that I have suspended my political activities due to the Mastung blast that claimed 128 lives including Nawabzada Siraj Raisani.

While addressing a press conference in Peshawar, PPP chief said that the people of Pakistan are mourning following the Mastung blast, he observed enough actions were not taken against terrorism.

Election-hopeful, contesting the upcoming polls from NA-200 Lrkana, the PPP chief added, "Extremism and terrorism are resurfacing and it is regrettable that a solution to these problems has not been found to date,"

Bilawal complained obstacles were being created in the party's election campaign. "We are being stopped in different places," he noted.

The PPP chief announced that his party had cancelled a rally, to be held in Malakand in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, following the tragic incident in Balochistan that left over 150 people injured yesterday.

He added, "I have suspended my political activities. I will visit Malakand and meet with the party workers but not hold a power show."
