President Asif Ali Zardari left for Russia on Sunday to represent Pakistan at the 9th summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) being held in Russian city of Yekaterinburg on June 15. President Zardari along with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, will join leaders from major countries from Central and South Asia to discuss key security issues confronting the region including regional cooperation and fight terrorism, extremism and separatism. The president will meet with the leaders of China, Russia, Afghanistan and other countries. The event will also provide an opportunity for the leaders of Pakistan and India to come together for the first time after the November 2008 Mumbai attacks.
