Two brothers among five gunned down by rivals

Five persons including two real brothers were gunned down while seven other received critical bullet injuries over old enmity here near Kala Town on Indus Highway on Thursday. The injured were shifted to the emergency ward of DHQ Hospital by Rescue 1122.
According to details, 12 persons belonging to Taunsa Sharif were returning from DG Khan after attending investigation process in the office of SP (Investigations). In the meantime they were intercepted by the rivals riding a car near Kala at Khajjiwala and started indiscriminate firing on them.
Resultantly, five persons including Mehmood Sanjrani, Raheem Bakhsh, Mohammad Irshad Sanjrani, Abdul Hameed, Abdul Ghafoor Sanjrani died on the spot while seven others sustained gunshot wounds. The injured were identified as Mushtaq Sanjrani, Abdul Majeed Sanjrani, Bahar Sanjrani, Allah Wasaya, Sher Mohammad and Rafique Sanjrani. According to eye-witnesses, the assailants were riding a car when they chased the van on Indus Highway. The incident took place some 50-km from here towards North while the KL Police registered a case against Sharif Sanjrani and his three unidentified accomplices.
