It was the intellect, vision, morality, ethics and commitment of men like Allama Iqbal , Quaid e Azam Mohd Ali Jinnah and others who lead by example to wage a struggle seeking for Muslims of subcontinent a separate independent modern democratic welfare state where they could live in peace with members of other faiths.

These men chose to live in hearts and minds of their people, instead of building castles and offshore accounts. Just compare intellectual capacity of these men with mediocrity that dominates our political parties today, most of them without any credible academic background, scarred with indiscipline during their brief years in school or college. Men like Allama Iqbal chose an eternal abode in history instead of falling to temptations and greed of traders in politics of today, who pride in wearing $4.6 Million limited edition Louis Moinet which include pieces of meteorites, moon rocks and asteroids.

Allama Iqbal born in 1877, did his BA from Government College Lahore, than Masters and a brief stint as Lecturer in History, Philosophy and English at Oriental College. He proceeded to Cambridge and secured his doctorate at Munich and finally qualified as a barrister. He returned back to India in 1908 and besides teaching and practicing law, he continued to write poetry and finally resigned from government service in 1911 and thereafter till his death he worked to invoke amongst Muslims of Punjab and subcontinent, the desire to seek independence from Raj, delivering lectures in Hyderabad, Aligarh and Madras. He actively supported Quaid e Azam and played a leading role in establishing Muslim League in Punjab.
