LAHORE - The Punjab government has paid the PIA arrears for chief minister’s foreign visits which the latter had announced paying from his pocket.

The national career had been paid Rs3.7 million under supplementary grants, according to a Nawa-e-Waqt report. The arrears were of CM’s visits to Turkey in March 2014 , China’s visit in October 2014 ad India’s visit in December 2013. The PIA had sent notice to Services and Punjab General Administration Department for the payment of dues in January. Opposition had criticised Punjab CM frequent foreign visit.
