LAHORE - Hamza Roman and Sheeza Sajid lifted the double crowns in the 1st PTF Development Series Junior National Ranking Tennis Tournament-2021, which concluded at the PTF Complex, Islamabad. Sheeza Sajid played superb tennis and won the girl’s singles under-16 final by outpacing Farah Shah Khan 6-2, 6-4 and then she completed the brace of the crowns, when she, partnering with Zainab Ali Raja, defeated the spirited duo of Amna Ali Qayum/Yana Earsado 6-4, 6-4 in the girls under-16 doubles final.
Hamza Roman was another double crowns winner as he first won the boys/girls singles under-12 final where he outlasted Abubakar Talha 4-1, 4-0 and then he, partnering with Amir Mazari, won the boys/girls doubles title by thumping the pair of Haziq Asim/Hassan Usmani 4-0, 4-1. Asad Zaman of Lahore and student of renowned tennis coach Rahid Malik (ZTBL) maintained his streak of winning national titles as he defeated Ali Talha in the boy’s singles under-14 final by 4-1,5-3 (Rtd). He once again praised his coach Rashid Malik for his able guidance and coaching, which is helping him excel at higher level. He said he is keen to win more national titles and want to win laurels for the country at international level.
