A seven foot tall basketball player is shooting for the title of being the world’s tallest transexual. Lindsey Walker, 26, has also set her sights on making the US women’s basketball team for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Spending the first 21 years of her life as ‘Drew’, the would-be record holder was a sports prodigy and typical all-American frat-boy. “I did a lot of partying - a lot of frat parties,” explained Lindsey. “I had groupies, like all popular athletes.” Looking back now though, she can see now that she was just trying hard to fit in and hide her feelings.
“Basketball was one hell of a cover-up for me,” she said. “Not one person had a clue.
“One day I snapped. In the middle of the season, in my third year of college, I quit basketball.”
Lindsey started seeing a gender therapist and a doctor who prescribed the hormone treatments that have changed her looks and her personality.–OCU
