SAHIWAL - Brick kiln Owners Association Division President Haji Peer Muhammad has alleged that a so-called NGO is creating differences among labourers and brick kiln owners.

Addressing a press conference here, he claimed that relation among brick kiln labourers and owners were very much cordial. He demanded proper action taken against the so-called NGO “which he described” was creating rift among owners and workers.

He said that brick kiln owners with the cooperation of different NGOs working for the welfare of labourer of brick kiln.

In this connection, adult literacy schools have also been started with the cooperation of PRSP and ILO, where about 2,000 are studying, he said.

He said that about 10 training school were also functioning where different type of skills were being imparted to the children of brick kiln workers.

Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary Muhammad Aslam said that the Factory Act had been imposed on brick kilns, which was totally injustice because the brick kiln owners were running business without electricity and any type of machinery.

He demanded the government to review factory act decision.
