LAHORE - Academic staff and students of Divisional Public School have demanded the Punjab governor and chief minister to upgrade the status of the school. The school was upgraded from metric to inter level in 1976.

They further demanded that due to failure of Board of Governors in upgrading the school the matter not only deprived the academic staff from their original status and identity for they deserve according to their pay scale but also are deprived students who pass their intermediate examinations and they would have to face problem for getting admissions in government colleges for their degree classes.

They said that the matter of up-gradation was raised in the meeting of BoG which was headed by the Commissioner Lahore several time but all in vain.
