LAHORE  - A man was clubbed to death by his brother-in-law over some domestic dispute in Sanda police precincts on Friday. The family told the police that Saleem was clubbed to death by his brother-in-law Faisal during their scuffle over some domestic dispute. The killer fled the crime scene. The police have registered a murder case against Faisal on the complaint of wife of the deceased and are investigating. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy.

FOUND DEAD: A 35-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances from Shahdara police limits on Friday. The Edhi ambulance service shifted the body to the morgue for autopsy. The police are yet to ascertain the identity of the deceased.

CRUSHED: A 23-year-old man was crushed to death by a rashly driven trailer in Shafiqabad police precincts on early Friday. Police said that the man, unidentified so far, was crossing the road when a trailer ran over him, resulting in his on-the-spot death. The driver along with the driven fled the crime scene. The body was moved to the morgue while the police are investigating.

Robbers’ gang smashed

Lahore (operations) police on Friday claimed to have smashed a gang of robbers by arresting its four members involved in armed robberies. The police also recovered stolen and snatched vehicles including one van and 10 motorcycles from their possession.

According to a police spokesperson, SP Sadar police division Zahid Nawaz Marwat constituted a special team headed by SHO Mustafa Town, Taimour Abbas, to hunt down the criminals involved in street crimes.

The police team collected the particulars of the criminals and arrested four bandits during an operation. The arrested bandits were identified as Afzal, Tanvir, Saeed, and Mazhar. The police also recovered cash, four pistols, and six mobile phones from the bandits. Police said that the arrested robbers had a crime history and at least 17 cases have been traced against them. Further investigation was underway.
