Faisalabad: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the National Accountability Bureau could launch inquiries into major projects in Punjab.

While talking to media persons today, he said that all major projects in the province were open to scrutiny and the provincial government has no objection if the anti-graft body carried out investigation.

“The Women Protection Act (WPA) aimed to protect oppressed women. We cannot dump the WPA, however, we have decided to make some amendments in the act. We cannot allow men to break bones of women or throw acid in their face on a daily basis. Whosoever violates the law, he will not escape the clutches of the law,” said Sannaullah.

Sana also said that Prevaiz Elahi was daydreaming and his dreams would not come true.

He further said that “we are not like the PTI that shouts and complains about rigging whenever it loses in election and makes a fuss if it when wins polls.”
