‘Students must defend Pakistan Ideology’

LAHORE - Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed has called upon the students to come forward and play an effective role to defend the ideology of Pakistan from the foreign conspiracies.
“The external forces are trying to make Pakistan liberal and modern and for this specific purpose, their main targets are students and educational institutions,” the JuD chief said yesterday.
He was addressing the closing ceremony of two-day workshop titled “United and Defend Pakistan”, which was organised by the Al-Muhammadia Students at the Suffah Education Centre.
Saeed added the enemies of Pakistan were trying to exterminate the Pakistan ideology from the minds of the youth, and it was also the responsibility of students and teahcers to fight these conspiracies.
JD political affairs head Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki, FEEL Director Naveed Qamar, Almuhammadia president Muhammad Rashid, defence analyst Abu Waqas, social media activist Abdul Rehman and others also addressed the workshop which was attended by a large number of students.
Hafiz Saeed believed that Pakistan was established in the name of Islam and must be governed in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He held that the external forces had imposed a war on Pakistan and educational institutions were their main target.
Speaking on the occasion, Naveed Qamar laid a particular stress on providing first aid and civil defence training to students so they could play a positive role in the society in the crisis situations such as terrorist attacks and natural calamities.
Defence analyst Abu Waqas said that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor was going to be a game-changer and would increase the importance of Pakistan in global politics.
