Suspects in Imran Farooq murder case can attempt suicide, says Adiyala Jail Superintendent

KARACHI: The Adiyala Jail Superintendent has today informed the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) that Khalid Shamim and Mohsin Ali, the accused in Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Imran Farooq’s murder, could attempt suicide because of mental stress.

The jail superintendent said that the accused are facing severe mental stress and appealed the court that the accused could be killed in the jail. He requested the court not to give permission to anyone else than his family members to meet the accused.

It is pertinent to mention that FIA Additional Director Bisalat Shah had also informed the jail administration of the threat.
