Yesterday the cricketing world stood still for a few seconds, when Shahid Afridi made a statement saying, “We get more love in India than in Pakistan”.
Some of the Afridi’s fans felt a bit affronted at the statement. The disgruntled fans took to twitter to express their disappointment.
But there were definitely those who voiced out their outlook on the whole scenario supporting their hero, Shahid Afridi. Many fans responded to the criticism with tweets like these:

While the Afridi fan club was busy supporting their skipper, there were some fans who were clearly hurt over the statement and thought that Afridi might have taken the ‘gesture of love and peace’ too far.
Shame on Shahid Afridi, very sad. :(

Shahid Afridi is captain of Pak cricket team and this is only bcos of his Pak fans otherwise he doesn't deserve even a place in Pak team.

If diplomacy was mandatory then Shahid Afridi could have given a categorical statement instead of dragging n degrading Pak fans into it!!
