At least six killed while 30 people, including policemen, injured in a blast at Raiwind, Lahore.
According to media reports, the blast occurred near a police vehicle at a check post.
The rescue teams have reached the site. The injured have been rushed to the nearby hospital. The authorities have cordoned off the whole area.
Police officials stated that it could be a cylinder explosion but actual nature of the blast is still unknown.
Meanwhile, an eyewitness told media that explosion took place after a motorcycle reached near the check post.
The police personnel were changing the duty at the time of the blast, the witness said.
Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack and expressed his grief with families of injured and killed, stating brave police officials lay down their lives in line of duty.
