SC rejects Imran’s review petition seeking Gulalai's disqualification

Imran Khan’s review petition regarding disqualification of MNA Ayesha Gulalai was rejected by the Supreme Court. Previously, Election Commission of Pakistan passed the verdict that Gulalai will remain party member.

CJP, Saqib Nisar asked PTI Chairman’ s lawyer, Sikander Baksh Mohmand, whether Gulalai had submitted her written resignation to party, Mohmand replied in the negative.

CJP, Saqib Nisar was heading the three member bench, including Justice Umar Atta Bandial and Justice Ijazul Ahsan.

Imran’s Lawyer said that there were some legal flaws in the ECP’s verdict.

Ayesha Gulalai had earlier announced in a press conference to quit PTI in early August after serious allegations of harassment and corruption against Imran Khan. However, she later resiled from her statement and said that she will continue to expose PTI's double standards.
