The Islamabad police have decided to conduct fresh survey in the limits all of its police stations with the objective to get first hand information about the tenants and others residing in various areas of the federal capital to know about their background. Notables of the community should be involved in this process and security and vigilance committees in various police stations should be activated to ensure success in obtaining accurate information. New beat system has been introduced in the city and Community Police Centres (CPCs) are functioning in various areas with the purpose to maintain high vigilance and curb anti-social activities. Police officers deputed at these CPCs should be provided necessary logistic support to ensure effective policing through support of community. The police should also launch massive crackdown against those involved in running gambling den, immoral activities or selling narcotics in their respective areas. FAHEDSAEED, Islamabad, May 12.
