Overcharging
Overcharging of water connection fee  has sparked resentment among the residents of Dhok Gujran and allied areas.
The committee set up by Cantonment Board Rawalpindi to collect fee from the applicants in the areas of Dhok Gujran and new localities charged water connection fee ranging between Rs 5300 to Rs 8000. After the installation of connections the receipts were issued for Rs 2200 and this way Rs 3000 to Rs 6000 were overcharged for new connection.
Despite loot and plunder spree unleashed by the committee, water is not being supplied to the new connections.
The residents of Dhok Gujran, Misrial road and other areas have demanded of Corpse commander Rawalpindi to probe into the scam and ensure return of the fee overcharged by them.
Delay
Inordinate delay in completion of the development work in  sector D-12 has caused embarrassment among the allottees.
This sector was opened in 1989 but its allottees are waiting for completion of development work since the last 24 years.
Contract for development work was awarded in 2006 which was to  be completed within two years but seven years have been elapsed and it is  still lying incomplete.  CDA said that work was going  on slow paced and only 65 percent of the entire work has been accomplished so far.
