Divisional Public School (DPS) is a well reputed school in Lahore. The patron-in-chief is a respected Commissioner of the division, who is authorized to select and confirm teachers appointments. These teachers are selected through NTS and recommended by the Principal after a two year probation period.
The school is facing an issue, the Commissioner does not seem to be happy with the current principal, who has availed many extensions, now the Commissioner is getting back at him by firing all the teachers he recommended and confirmed! This seems to be a really low blow for such a prestigious person and it has hurt innocent teachers. There must be some regulatory authority in Pakistan to look into such blatant misuse of power and reinstate the teachers, who have come in the middle of this battle. The effected teachers should be given another chance to prove their worth, as per tradition of the institutes.
