LAHORE - The Ravian Forensic Society (RFA) has held an awareness seminar against suicide bombing at the Government College University to sensitise students about the presence of any suspicious person or activity in their surroundings.

The postgraduate students of Psychology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science Department attended the seminar addressed by the technical experts of Punjab Forensic Science Agency and Bomb Disposal Squad. GCU Dean Prof Dr Islam Ullah Khan and RFA Advisor Dr Akhyar Farrukh also addressed the seminar.  

The students were briefed in detail about the attitude and outlook of suspicious people. Earlier, the Ravian Forensic Society had held a seminar on fake currency notes.

Meanwhile, the GCU produced a doctor of philosophy (PhD) in the field of Chemistry.

The GCU Examination Department has issued a notification after approval of her thesis. Ambreen Fatima completed her research on the topic of “Chemical Examination and Studies on Cassia suratensis and Synthetic Derrivatives of 2-Amino-4-chloro anisole” under the supervision of Dr Aziz-ur-Rehman and Dr Muhammad Athar Abbasi.
