They termed Pakistan a lucky country, saying that they had most beautiful natural landscapes in the world especially in the hilly areas. The female students said that besides Urdu, they had also learned to cook Biryani; which was also an amazing part of their visit.

They said that they are taking back home a lot of “Biryani Masalas” and traditional clothes for their families and friends.

Kim You Jin said that Urdu is a difficult language to learn, and their teachers especially Dr Khalid Sanjrani had to work real hard on them, so that they could pass the certificate course. However, she said, the Pakistani music and on campus communication with friends also helped them in learning Urdu.

In reply to a question, they said “Mirza Ghalib” and “Allama Muhammad Iqbal’ are their favourite poets. In a lighter mood, they also said, they have a little resentment that often Pakistanis perceive them as Chinese. However, we are quite different from them, they said.

Vice Chancellor Prof Shah said that ‘it’s really encouraging that the foreign students are now coming to Pakistani universities for studies.” He said that they provided every possible support and facility these to Koreans students. He said earlier a group of Japanese students had also completed Urdu course from GCU. He said that the interest of foreigners in Urdu language is increasing.
