The National Security Committee (NSC) has unanimously termed the recent statement in the context of Mumbai attacks as incorrect and misleading.

Meeting of the Committee was held in Islamabad on Monday with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the chair.

The top brass of the military, including Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat and Director General Inter-Services Intelligence Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar attended the meeting, held at the PM House.

Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi and Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan were also present at the moment.

The participants observed that it was very unfortunate that the opinion arising out of either misconceptions or grievances was being presented in disregard of concrete facts and realities.

The participants unanimously rejected the allegations and condemned the fallacious assertions.

The meeting recalled that it was not Pakistan, but India that has delayed the finalization of the case.
