Utility Stores Corporation has announced up to ten percent discount on over one thousand items as part of Ramazan package, reported by Radio Pakistan.

The announcement was made by Minister of State for Industries and Productions Sardar Arshad Leghari at a news conference in Islamabad today.

He said the government has provided a subsidy of 1.73 billion rupees for the sake of relief to consumers during the holy month.

The subsidy would be available on items including wheat flour, pulses, sugar and basen.

Replying to a question he said the subsidy is being provided by the Government keeping in view its resource position.

The managing director of the corporation said the prices would be reviewed during mid Ramazan.

He said outlets of the utility stores corporation would be computerized in a phased manner.
