Bilawal vows to improve ties with EU, Switzerland

ISLAMABAD   -   Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari yesterday vowed to improve ties with Switzerland and the European Union.


In a meeting with Swiss Ambassador Bénédict de Cerjat, who called on him here, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari applauded the Ambassador for his efforts to deepen mutually beneficial bilateral relations.


He said Switzerland is one of the top ten investors in Pakistan and “we look forward to welcome more Swiss companies to invest in Pakistan's multiple sectors.”  The envoy felicitated the FM on assumption of the office of foreign minister.


Meanwhile yesterday, Pakistan and the European Union emphasized the importance of international coordination to strengthen stability in Afghanistan. These views were expressed by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar and European Union's Special Envoy for Afghanistan Tomas Niklasson during a meeting here.


Both the sides shared perspectives and concerns on the latest situation in Afghanistan, said a foreign ministry statement.
