A pilot of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Monday died when his plane crashed due to technical fault in Mulla Mansoor area here in Attock. Rescue teams have found dead body of the pilot, Squadron Leader Muhammad Hussain some three kilometres from the crash site. Earlier media reports said the pilot remained safe when a J-F 17 aircraft, which according to PAF authorities was on its training flight, crashed in Mulla Mansoor mountains near Mansar town soon after it left Kamra airbase. Authorities have not so far mentioned reasons of the plane crash. A regimental centre of the Pakistan Army known as AK Regimental Centre is also located at Mansar Camp besides Mansar, a small town in Attock district. PAF authorities dispatched helicopters and rescue teams to the incident site which searched plane's debris and pilot's dead body. Fire also blazed at the mountains where the plane crashed. It was later tackled by the area people and rescue teams. The PAF has ordered an inquiry into the incident. According to PAF spokesman, the plane was on a routine operational training mission when it crashed at Mullah Mansoor hilltop and the pilot Muhammad Hussain of the plane had died. He said that beside pilot, no any other casualty was reported on the scene, adding that a board has been formed for investigating the accident.
