LONDON (PR) - Mark Samuel, Pakistan’s honorary consul general to Luxembourg for the last 10 years, passed away in London.

The deceased was living in Europe for 40 years. His organisation, Mark Samuel Foundation, is providing education to some 100 children in Pakistan, most of them Muslims.

He played a key role in bringing European investment to Pakistan. He was a humanitarian who worked for the betterment of Pakistani people. He gathered donation from the Luxembourg government and the Pakistanis living there to help earthquake victims of Azad Kashmir. He also worked hard to provide relief to the flood-hit people of Pakistan. He used to bear all the expenses of Luxembourg consulate, including paying salaries to the employees. He always tried to solve the problems of Pakistanis living in Luxembourg and made efforts to build a positive image of Pakistan among the local community.
