MIRPURKHAS – Police have busted a criminal gang, rounded up its four members and recovered stolen goods and illegal arms here.

The Mehran Police Station SHO said Tuesday that being tipped off, a police team carried out raids at different places and apprehended four gangsters identified as Naved Akhtar, Bhemo, Ghulam Qadir and Mewa Bheel. He said prize bonds of Rs1.7 million, 3 TT unlicensed pistols and 12 bullets were also recovered from the accused. He further said the accused have confessed of conducting a dacoity in the house of Ashok Kumar on Sept 13 in which they had injured the house owner and taken away seven tolas of gold, cash and prize bonds.

He further said that FIR under section 394, 452, 342 and 34 PPC had also been lodged against the unidentified dacoits on September 25 on the complaint of Mr Ashok.

He added two accomplices of the dacoits are still at large, and efforts are being made to nab them without any delay.
