Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that Pakistan was keen for peace in Afghanistan as all the countries of the region will grow with peace in  war torn country.

Rehman Malik made this observation while talking to the head of Afghan Peace Council Salahuddin Rabbani. The interior minister said Pakistan eagerly wanted peace in Afghanistan and backs backs all efforts for this purpose.

He assured that Pakistan would support peace efforts in Afghanistan Salahuddin Rabbani said Pakistan and Afghanistan both are determined to work together to end terrorism. He lauded Pak efforts for peace in the region.

Meanwhile Afgha Minister for Narcotics Control Zafar Ahmad also called on the Interior Minister and exchanged views on border manage, drug control ad matters of mutual interest.

The Interior Minister stressed the need for sharing of information and effective steps fort rafficking of narcotics.  He said due to concerted efforts Pakistan became poppy cultivation free country in 2011 and it gives priority to eliminate narcotics.
