Muharram security plan finalised

KARACHI – Security agencies and civic authorities have finalised the security arrangements ahead of Muharram and appealed to the religious scholars for cooperation.
In a press release issued, Rangers Sindh claimed to have finalised the security arrangements for first ten days of Muharram.
In a meeting held at Rangers Headquarter, Commissioner Karachi, Sindh Home Secretary, Additional IG, and other officials concerned were participated and jointly developed the counter terrorism strategy.
On the other side, KMC Administrator Hussain Syed was also presided over a meeting for arrangements of Muharram, which was attended by all towns chief officers, additional commissioner, SSP traffic, representatives of Sindh Police and clerics from various school of thoughts including Mufti Muneebur Rehman, Haji Hajif Tayyab, Mirza Yousuf Hussain, Syed Nazir Abbas Naqvi, Siddique Rathore, Molana Shah Ferozuddin Rehmani and the organisers and representatives of Muharram processions.
The administrator said that people from all school of thoughts should observe patience and tolerance during the holy month of Muharram whereas clerics should spread teachings of peace and brotherhood. All towns of Karachi should complete the arrangements of cleanliness, maintenance of street lights and road carpeting on all routs of Muharram processions and the religious gatherings within their limits.
On this occasion, the administrator issued various directives for resolving the problems facing by Imam Bargahs, Masajid and Azadars during Muharram.
He also said that all possible cooperation will be provided to towns in this connection.
