KARACHI - Former president of Pakistan and chief of APML General (r) Pervez Musharraf would deliver his key-note speech on “Uniting South Asia: The Way Forward” at HT Leadership Summit 2012 on November 17 in India among the international leaders, think tanks, policy-makers, law-makers, intellectuals and students of politics, said a statement of APML issued here on Tuesday.

This international conference is being organised by Hindustan Times, which will start from November 16. It will be inaugurated by Thailand’s former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatira, while Pervez Musharraf would address it on second and final day as key-note speaker.

According to schedule of summit, Thailand’s former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatira would deliver his inaugural speech on the topic of “Towards closer ties, the future of South East Asia and India relations”.

Indian Minister for Rural Development Jairam Ramesh and Dr. Abhijit Banerjee, Ford foundation international Professor of Economics, MIT would discuss the issues related with “The World’s bottom billion: what needs to be done” on the first day.

Besides, William Cohen, former US secretary Defense and current President/CEO, the Cohen group, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Member Parliament Rajya Sabha and Ajit Kumar Doval, former Director Intelligence Bureau would through the light on the topic.
