Naming Shadman Chowk after Bhagat Singh opposed

LAHORE – Opposing the government decision of naming Shadman Chowk after Bhagat Singh, Tehreek-e-Hurmat-e-Rasool (PBUH) has termed it an attack on the Ideology of Pakistan and an attempt to please pro Indian elements.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, THR convener Maulana Amir Hamza, Akif Saeed, Qara Zawar Bahadar, Ibtesam Elahi Zaheer and others warned that the government would not be allowed to take uncalled for decisions in the country of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.
They said that those talking about improving ties with arch rival India through unilateral decisions were completely ignoring the move of renaming Jinnah House as Mumbai House.
They said that these pro Indian elements should raise voice for vacating residence of Quaid-e-Azam in Mumbai and its handing over to the Pakistan. They said that a protest campaign would be launched if the government stuck to the decision of naming Shadman Chowk after Bhagat Singh.
