ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Cricket Association for Physically Handicapped Chairman M Abbas Hashmi and Director Media & Development Nasir Mehmood Ch called on Australian High Commissioner Peter Hayward at his residence.
Peter congratulated the Handicapped team and its officials for a successful tour of India that Pakistan team won both ODI and T/20 series. Peter assured his full support to handicapped team in future too.
Peter also promised to help PCAPH in organising the exhibition match between Pakistan and Indian handicapped team on World Disabled Day on December 3.  Abbas Hashmi invited Peter Hayward to be the guest of honour on the match as Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ch Zaka Ashraf has already promised to be the chief guest on the occasion.
Abbas Hashmi told this scribe that they are very grateful to Peter Hayward as he always helped handicapped players and association. He said Peter Hayward would attend the exhibition match besides 20 plus diplomats and other embassy officials of different countries.
He said they will submit applications to get NOC from the ministry as soon as they receive the information from the Physically Challenged Cricket Association of India. The association has finalised the arrangements to hold the match in a befitting manner on the World Disabled day but only waiting for NOC from the Ministry.
Meanwhile Nasir Mehmood, Director Media and Development said, a camp would be established from 20th at Shalimar ground for the selection of the team for the match and added that players had already started coming from all parts of the country.
Nasir said after that match the association will organise the national handicapped championship to be held in Islamabad at three different venues simultaneously.
